PRESS BRAKE
FRAME CONSTRUCTION :
All mild steel frame with robust designed construction
safeguards against undesired deflection and breakage.
Large radii on the steel frame distributes the Strauss's
and avoids stresses. The frames are inter locked with bed
through precisely scraped bearing shoes, resulting in
extremely high rigidity and high level of alignment accuracy.
The double shoes arrangement offers total flexibility in
aligning frames at right angles to the bed. The open throat
permits the forming of sheets longer than the distance
between the housings and permits dies to be changed easily.
RAM & BED:
Press brake is such that the load coming on ram and bed
is completely concentrated on " C " frames exactly at the
centre line. The fork-type connecting link drive the ram
through the ball joint thereby avoid eccentric load and
subsequent yielding of guides due to lateral load.
MAIN GEARS & GEAR BOX:
Press brakes can have of two types of gear boxes.
a) OPEN TYPE GREASE OIL LUBRICATED GEARS.
b) ENCLOSED OIL BATH GEARBOX.
Single helical gears and pinions are made from alloy
steel material and accurately cut for longer life and
quite running. Double gearings are provided on capacities
of 80 tones and above to give balanced transmission of
torque on the eccentrics.
ECCENTRICS:
They are made from alloy forged steel and high factor
of safety, and run in pressure lubricated Bronze bearings
of extra large area. A key system is used for securing gears
on their respective shafts. It provides a three point
bearing and a more satisfactory fit and gear alignment.
CLUTCH & BRAKE:
Disk type clutch specially designed for Press Brake.
They are powerful, easily accessible, simple to adjust,
which makes the machine exceptionally easy to operate.
The clutch is highly efficient, requires low pressure to
operate and is capable of picking up loads from standing
start. It allows frequent start and stop. It has a special feature
of taper roller arrangement fitting .All critical components of
clutch assembly are from alloy steel, hardened, tempered
and ground. Powerful brake is interlocked with the clutch
and stops the ram immediately when clutch is released
at any point.
RAM ADJUSTMENT:
All medium and large press brakes above 25 Tons are
provided with motorized or hydraulic ram adjustment.
The Dog type coupling provided to disconnect either
RH or LH screws in order to tilt the ram.
DRIVE SYSTEM:
The flywheel is mounted on heavy-duty anti-friction
bearings, required for over and above rated bends.
The gears and pinions are manufactured from alloy steel
and run in oil bath totally enclosed drive. 60 tons and
below are supplied with open gear drive and above
60 tons are supplied with enclosed oil bath.
LUBRICATION:
This is required for the lubrication of the machine except
initial primingand occasional topping up.
Automatic lubrication is provided for all bearings
by a central lubrication pump and driven from the sprocket
wheel mounted on the main shaft through a chain which is
provided to 60 tons and above machines.
